Olamiju, son of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, who just rejoined the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the Action Democratic Party, ADP, has been reinstated as chairman of Ogbomoso North local government.
A top government official told OYO INSIGHT that Olamiju collected his letter of reinstatement this evening.
“It was from the ministry of local government and chieftaincy mattersthat he collected the letter from. He will resume office on Monday,” the source added.
Olamiju had been sacked and replaced following his defection to his father’s former party, ADP.
Following the defection of Alao-Akala to the APC, the party will campaign in Ogbomosoland on Monday.
This newspaper recalled that the party was unable to campaign in the town before last week presidential and National Assembly elections.
