As the Oyo State High Court, RingRoad, Ibadan, begins a suit brought before it by popular gospel musician, Dr Yinka Ayefele, owner of Music House, this morning, all major roads leading to the have been ‘militarized, OYO INSIGHT has been informed.
Ayefele had gone to court last week to challenge the planned demolition of the building which houses Fresh FM. OYO INSIGHT had reported how the men of the Oyo State Bureau Of Physical Planning last Monday issued a 3-day ultimatum to the owner of the building to provide some documents or risk demolition.
Ayefele challenged it in court. The court had last Thursday fixed today for commencement of suit instituted by Ayefele.
The deployment of soldiers, OYO INSIGHT was told, became necessary following the outrage that trailed the demolition of the building yesterday, 24 hours to the commencement of court proceedings.
At major junctions, armoured personel carriers, Hilux vans and stern-looking security agents stood at strategic locations.
