Popular Ibadan-based broadcast journalist, Edmund Obilo, who was on admission at the University College Hospital(UCH), Ibadan, for a suspected case of coronavirus case has tested negative.
OYOINSIGHT.COM had reported how Obilo was admitted last Thursday evening following which his samples were taken and forwarded to Lagos for confirmation of his status.
This was made known in a tweet on the official twitter account of Splash FM Ibadan where his widely listened-to programme, State Affairs,is aired every Saturday.
In the the tweet, the station wrote, “Breaking: Edmund Obilo tests negative to Covid-19
”Top radio host and political scientist, Edmund Obilo has been declared free of the pandemic Corona Virus after his test returned negative.“
“This was confirmed today after the series of tests done showed no signs of the viral infection which has ravaged the global space.
Recall, the famous broadcaster had checked in at the University College Hospital last Thursday after showing symptoms of mild cold and cough.
