President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Ibadan-born Udoh Monilola Omokunmi and eleven others as permanent secretaries in the federal civil service.
The appointment of the new permanent secretaries was announced in a press release signed by the director, communications, office of the Head of Service of the federation, Mrs. Olawunmi Ogunmosunle.
Apart from Omokunmi, Akinwale Oluwatoyin (Kogi), Alkali, Bashir Nura (Kano), Anyanwutaku, Adora Ifeoma (Anambra), Ardo, Babayo Kumo (Gombe), Belgore, Shuaib Lamido (Kwara), Ekpa, Anthonia Akpabio (Cross-River) we’re also appointed.
Others are Hussaini, Babangida (Jigawa), Mahmuda, Mamman (Yobe), Meribole, Emmanuel Chukwuemeka (Abia), Mohammed, Aliyu Ganda (Sokoto), Tarfa, and Yerima Peter (Adamawa).
Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Olawunmi Ogunmosunle says swearing in and deployment will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, a top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Dr. Yunus Akintunde, has congratulated Omokunmi on her elevation, saying that the appointment was well-deserved.
