Loyalists of Moroof Akinwande, chairman of the Water Corporation of Oyo State, WCOS, has told the chairman of Oyo East local government, to desist from dragging their boss into issues he knows nothing about.
“Our attention has been drawn to a mischievous publication on premium time daily tagged SUPREMACY BATTLE: seven councilors receive 250k each to impeach Oyo East council chair, alleging the most respected, peace-loving and undisputed political juggernaut in Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon Dr Moroof Akinwande of sponsoring the news published by *Oyo insight* titled council chair, Sunmonu fight over Anti-party Activities that is causing feud between AROSAD Camp and the Distinguished Senator MONSURAT SUNMONU camp which is far from the truth and which we have seen as a way of dragging our dear principal’s name into mud.
“If Arowosaye and/ or his cohort did not agree to this OYOINSIGHT.COM’s publication, the best way to go before now was to deny it.
“We are saying with emphasis that Akinwande knows nothing about these Publications.
“It is on record that Hon Dr Moroof Akinwande strive vigorously to bring peace into the PDP at the national, state and local level before during and after just concluded elections.
“The results from Akinwande polling unit at National Assembly, Governorship and State Assembly elections present Akinwande as PDP man, the man of integrity, lover of developments, peace and large hearted man who is not interested in the disunity of PDP family at large.
“We the Akinwande group condemn, reject and debunk the allegation leveled against our dear boss and warn these mischief-making bloggers and their sponsors to desist from dragging our principal’s name into this fight. The question is why did they start the battle you know it will result in disunity among PDP family if truly you love PDP?
Why bringing the name of our dear leader into the act that can destabilize the PDP ?
“We will not and shall never just keep looking and be watching these attention seekers to bring down the hard-earned reputation of our boss.
“We therefore, challenge publisher and his sponsors to come out with their proofs and evidence that link Akinwande to these publications, if truly they are sure of the allegation.
“In conclusion, we urge our dear party members to see this as a lie and our respected honorable will never join them in their dubious ways of acquiring power. Power belongs to Almighty Allah alone.”
