A former commissioner for youth and sports in Oyo State, Umar Farouk Arisekola Alao, has notified the All Progressives Congress, APC, that he seeks to represent Ibadan North federal constituency in the National Assembly.
The development became necessary following the demise of the occupant, Musliudeen Akinremi, who was in the first year of his second consecutive term.
Saying that it was unfortunate that the lawmaker died, Arisekola said that it was expedient that the party fields someone who has the capacity to offer quality representation.
This was just as he commended the performance of the late lawmaker, saying he would consolidate on the gains of the 5 years he spent in the green chambers before his unfortunate demise.
”As a loyal and dedicated member of the APC, I have been actively involved in party activities and have contributed to the growth and development of our party in ibadan North Federal Constituency. I am driven by a passion to serve my people and make a meaningful impact on their lives.
“I believe that my skills, experience, and commitment to our party’s ideals make me an ideal candidate for this position. I am confident that, with the support of our party leaders and members, I can make a positive difference in the lives of the constituents.”
