Appeal Court Judgment: God Has Vindicated You — Akinosun Congratulates Alao-Akala

    A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo State, Dr Fola Akinosun has described The judgement of an appeal court sitting in Ibadan, which acquitted former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala on an allegation of 11.5 billion naira fraud as the restoration of hope on the nation’s judicial system.

    Dr Fola Akinosun, a grassroot politician and philanthropist gave the remark in a message to congratulate the former governor and APC leader in the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao akala on the victory at the appeal court

    Recall that the court of appeal sitting in Ibadan on Thursday set aside the ruling of the lower court, on grounds that the trial court erred by ordering the defendants to enter defence for the three counts because the prosecution, led by the EFCC, failed to establish a prima facie case against them.

    The court, during its judgement on Thursday, also set aside all charges against Otunba Alao akala, acquitting him of the allegations

    Dr Akinosun said the judgment did not only vindicate former governor Alao-Akala but had showed him to be a thoroughbred administrator who had only served the good people of Oyo state with passion and commitment.

    The Agbaakin of Iroko said the indelible impacts of the former governor Alao-Akala’s administration in the state during his tenure between 2007 and 2011 were written in gold and still speak for themselves.

    Dr Akinosun further noted that the former governor has always been a man of due process who give respect to institutions of government and did what was best for the state.

    Dr Fola Akinosun congratulated former governor Alao Akala for the victory at the appeal court, describing the feat as victory for humanity.
