AMOTEKUN: Oyo Assembly May Pass Bill Today

Indications emerged on Monday that the bill on Amotekun may be passed by the Oyo State House of Assembly today (Tuesday).

Although attempts by The Punch to get an official confirmation from the lawmakers were abortive, a close source said, “The bill on Amotekun is ready for passage.”

Asked if non-indigenes would be enlisted in the security outfit in the state, he said, “There is no hope for that. All I can say is that it is hopeful that the bill would be passed for assent tomorrow (Tuesday.)
