Former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala is to submit his governorship nomination forms today.
Alao-Akala, who is one of those jostling to succeed outgoing Governor Abiola Ajimobi who defeated him in 2011, is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The Ogbomoso-born had recently been linked with a move to the newly formed African Democratic Congress, ADC. He has, however, denied it.

This is coming few days after Ajimobi advised all the governorship aspirants to talk to themselves and come with list of three top contenders.
After two meetings between the governor, Abiola Ajimobi, and 26 governorship aspirants of the party on Saturday and Sunday, an unconfirmed report said Alao-Akala and a few other aspirants were uncomfortable with the governor’s body language.
On Sunday for instance, Alao-Akala didn’t sign the column meant for aspirants in the ‘peace pact’, a development many as described as a sign of non-agreement.
