Alao, Agbaje, Adeduntan… — 5 Oyo APC Aspirants Who Have Bought Guber Forms

    If the purchase of expression of interest and nomination forms had closed yesterday, only 5 aspirants would have qualified for the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, documents seen by OYOINSIGHT.COM have revealed.

    This newspaper recalls that the party, though troubled, have many governorship aspirants.

    As at close of work yesterday, Oyedele Hakeem Alao, Teslim Kolawole Folarin, Adelabu A. Adebayo, Akeem Adedeji Agbaje and Azeez P. Adeduntan are the only ones who have purchased the N50,000,000 form.

    While the trio of Adelabu, Agbaje and Adeduntan are graduates of accounting, law and medicine respectively from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, the duo of Alao and Folarin studied civil engineering and political science from the University of Lagos and University of Ibadan respectively.

    The 5 aspirants are all from Ibadan, the state capital and are all Muslims.

    Adelabu, from Ibadan South East, the party’s governorship candidate in the 2019 election and was deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, before joining politics.

    Folarin, from Ona Ara, is representing Oyo central senatorial district for the third term.

    Agbaje, from Ibadan North West, is a former chairman of the Ibadan branch of Nigeria Bar Association. He is from a family of highly successful lawyers.

    Adeduntan, from Ibadan South West, is a celebrated cardiovascular surgeon and a former health commissioner in Oyo State.

    Alao, from Akinyele, was the Alliance for Democracy, AD, candidate in the 2019 election.
