The veterinary doctor, who was in the House between 2003 and 2007, few days ago submitted his nomination forms at the Oyo State secretariat of the party.

In a chat with OYO INSIGHT, Akinwande who is the immediate past chairman of the Federal Capital Territory secondary education board, said the need to reenact what he did almost 11 years ago motivated him to join the race.

“Ordinarily, I would not have come out. However, I cannot fold my arms while our people continuously yearn for a change, a better representation. They know I have done it before. My records are there. That is not to say those who have represented our people since I left have not done well. I know that I am capable. I have the needed experience,” he added.
