Governor Seyi Makinde has inaugurated a five-man committee from Oyo state to meet with their counterparts from Osun on the need to find a lasting solution to the crisis rocking the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
To be chaired by Prof Ayodeji Omole, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN), Prof Oyelowo Oyewo and Prof Daud Sangodoyin are members.
In a post on his official Facebook handle, Makinde said the committee is to look into LAUTECH ownership and other related issues.
According to him, “the committee’s mandate is to, in a manner of speaking, secure a divorce for Oyo State from joint ownership of the university with Osun State. I thanked them for accepting to serve and urged them to put their hearts into this work and submit a preliminary report in four weeks.

Osun, this newspaper recalls, had inaugurated its 5-man chaired by a renowned Professor of Vocational and Technical, Education, Professor Olu Aina. It has the deputy governor, Mr Benedict Alabi; Commissioner for Education, Mr Olayinka Folorunso, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Femi Akande and Commissioner for Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji as members.
