Yunus Akintunde, All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial aspirant in Oyo central senatorial district, has described the death of former Oyo State Governor, Adebayo Alao Akala as one death too many.
Recall that OYOINSIGHT.COM reported that Akala, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in the state, died in the early hours of Wednesday.
In a statement made available to this newspaper, the Akintunde, a Ph.D holder and former commissioner, described the death of the Ogbomosho-born politician as a sad moment for the nation.
“His death came at a time when this nation needed him, putting me in a position to wonder if anyone can ever fill his vacuum,” he began.
He also noted that Akala was not just a politician but also a statesman who put his people first, always.
