The immediate past communications minister, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, said that the problem of the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is worse than coronavirus.
The two-time former commissioner stated this in a rejoinder made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM titled ‘responses from an alleged glorified almajiri to the tantrums of political cowards and failed politicians’.
The rejoinder, which is the latest in the ongoing internal crisis ripping apart the main opposition party in Oyo State, All Progressives Congress, APC, is a reply to a statement by a group the former minister described as ‘non-existent’ named The Pacesetter Advance Marines.
In the rejoinder, the minister described the two signatories to the post, Comrade Dauda Ajana and Kamaldeen Nageri, as a ‘non-existent’ and a ‘young jobless political hustler’ respectively.
He added, ”that his authoritative investigations have shown that the infantile and vindictive tantrums were written by a notorious lawyer-friend of the sadistic Abiola Ajimobi, at the behest of the cowardly ex-governor.”
The former gubernatorial candidate of the Congress for Progressives Change, CPC, stressed further that the problem of Ajimobi, who is now the deputy national chairman (South) of the APC is worse than the pandemic, free-spreading coronavirus disease that has killed thousands of people globally.
In his words, “It is often said that Ignorance is a disease. But when it is mixed with mischief, it is worse than the coronavirus. That is exactly the problem of Ajimobi and his minions.”
The Saki-born politician asked that if the allegations that his successor, Dr. Ibrahim Pantami, is clearing up the ‘nebulous mess’ he left behind in the ministry is true, “then what should be said of the unmitigated and overwhelming mess left behind after eight inglorious years of Ajimobi’s governorship of Oyo State? What of the several bogus and over-inflated contracts left behind by ex-governor Ajimobi which Governor Seyi Makinde is still struggling to clear?”
Shittu also called for the the creation of an Almajiri Welfare Programme for the family members of both Abiola Ajimobi and his ‘hawkish writer’ because despite the stupendous ill-gotten wealth accumulated by Ajimobi, he has been most wicked and uncaring of members of his homestead which made most of his family members and entire immediate community reject him with their votes in his futile senatorial bid.
