According to him,”Late Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi was many things to me. He was my first cousin, political leader and benefactor. He was a down-to-earth man who inspired me with his bravery, oratory prowess and composed leadership.

“My egbon’s death is a big blow to us all. I’m yet to come to terms with the brutal fact that His Excellency Ajimobi is dead. His demise has thrown thousands of us into untold agony, tears, pains and gloom. His exit has created a vacuum that will be very difficult to fill.

“However, I am comforted in the fact that he was an uncommon leader that had made uncommon achievements during his lifetime. He was indeed an iconic man and great achiever in all ramifications. His immense contributions to the progress and development Oyo State, Southwest and Nigeria will be long remembered.”

He wrote further,”We will sorely miss the great man who brought great intellectual touch to politics and governance of Oyo State. He was highly cerebral and meticulous public administrator with strong work ethics and no-nonsense attitude tempered by piercing sense of humour.

“Ajimobi came, saw and conquered. His antecedents as a successful top corporate manager is known to all. He brought this antecedent to bear in the public service, both at legislative and executive arms, the evidence of which is available to every objective mind.”

He noted that Ajimobi will be remembered as a political juggernaut who taught his critics, detractors and opponents a lesson or two in politics and his administration will be remembered too as one that opened a new vista in the development and emancipation of the people of Oyo State.

Folarin added,”We thank God for a life well spent in service to humanity. My egbon’s dedication and commitment towards repositioning the Pacesetter State will forever be remembered.

“May Almighty Allah comfort us as we mark 8th day of his internment with prayers. May He Forgive his shortcomings and Grant him Aljana Fridauz. Amin!”
