 Ajimobi Presents Credentials To Austrian President, Pledges Stronger Nigeria-Austria Ties

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Austria, Dr Florence Ajimobi, has presented her Letters of Credence to Austrian President, Dr Alexander Van der Bellen, formally commencing her duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Speaking during the presentation, Ajimobi thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in her, pledging to represent Nigeria with dignity, purpose and dedication.

“I accept this responsibility with humility, a strong sense of duty, and an unwavering commitment to representing Nigeria with dignity and purpose,” she said.

Ajimobi described relations between Nigeria and Austria as longstanding, noting opportunities to deepen cooperation in trade and investment, innovation, sustainable development and people-to-people relations.

She expressed her readiness to explore new areas of mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen the existing ties between both countries.

“As I begin this new chapter of service, I look forward to working to open new frontiers of mutually beneficial cooperation and to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between our two countries,” Ajimobi said.

She also reaffirmed her commitment to protecting and advancing the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians throughout her diplomatic assignment.

“I remain committed to giving this assignment my very best and to serving the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians with dedication and honour,” she added.
