Ajimobi, who is the Oyo South senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, spike at the campaign flag off of the party’s governorship candidate, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu at the party office, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

According to Ajimobi, Adelabu has a traceable and renowned family history.

On the contrary, he noted that the family house of several other governorship candidates, especially those from Ibadan, could not be traced.

He reiterated that his choice of Adelabu and his deputy, Mr Samuel Egunjobi was divine and not an imposition from the former governor of Lagos State, Chief Bola Tinubu or anyone else.

Especially, Ajimobi said Adelabu alongside his deputy, Egunjobi, are capable to continue on the path of good governance that he had laid.

Ajimobi also rubbished notions that he was bound to have wranglings with Adelabu upon his emergence as governor.

The event saw Ajimobi hand over the party’s flag to Adelabu and Egunjobi, as well as unveil all its candidates vying for federal and state legislative seats.

In attendance at the event was the deputy governor, Mr Moses Adeyemo; party Chairman in the state, Chief Akin Oke; Senator Fatai Buhari representing Oyo North; party executives, stalwarts and members from the state toward level; members of the state executive council; local government Chairmen and others
