This is contained in a statement in Ibadan from the media office of Hon. Ajaja.
Dr Ajaja said the transition to eternal glory of the 42nd Olubadan was painful, but gives glory to the Almighty Allah for the impactful life and good legacy of the revered monarch, who was “an administrator, a great leader, scholar and accommodating father to all”.

Hon. Ajaja, who relived her personal relationship of daughter and father with the deceased monarch noted that Senator Balogun would forever be remembered for his pragmatism, patriotism, peaceful dispositions and royal wisdom usually deployed towards addressing issues, ensuring peace and unity amongst the subjects and his integrity, fairness and honesty.

“The unfortunate demise of our dear royal father, Oba Mahood Olalekan Balogun, CFR is a personal loss, so painful to me, as Kabiyesi was always known for justice, equity and truth in all dealings.” Ajaja mourns.

Hon. Ajaja however takes solace in the fact that Kabiyesi left indelible memory of good reputation, records of unprecedented service to humanity, and uncommon zeal for the progress and development of Ibadanland, as he also lived purposeful life.

“No mortal can challenge Allah’s decree for Kabiyesi’s pleasing return to HIM in this holy of Ramadan. I pray Allah grant him Aljanatul Firdaos, aameen”. Ajaja prays.
