After the successes of his Ramadan lectures in his hometown of Oyo and Ibadan, Mr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen, it is now the turn of Ogbomoso tomorrow, 8th May, 2021.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that Oyo Central senatorial district, which Faozey wants to represents under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2023, cuts across the four local government areas in Oyo, 5 of the 11 LGAs in Ibadan and 2 of the 5 LGAs in Ogbomoso.
Billed to hold inside the premises of Ogbomoso High School, Sheikh AbdulMumin Usman would deliver lecture on Islam and Politics.
Only last week, in Ibadan, Sheikh AbdulWahid Tijani Adeoye delivered the lecture on Islam and Politics.
At the inaugural lecture, Sheikh Muhydeen Bello, urged Nigerians, irrespective of religion and tribe, have been urged to unite for the common interest of the country.
Bello who insisted that insecurity has assumed dangerous dimension in the state, urged the incumbent administration of Seyi Makinde to think outside the box to find lasting solution to the menace.
He said Abiola Ajimobi, late former governor of Oyo State, did well in terms of security, saying that he won’t shy away from saying the truth.
Bello also warned voters to desist from selling their votes, adding that “that is why elected public office holders neglect you shortly after getting what they want. Give them advise on what can be done to impact society. Politicians too should be transparent in their dealings with people.”
Faozey, while speaking earlier, had described the cleric as “an unalloyed sayer of truth who speaks truth to all and sundry without minding whose ox is gored.
The Oyo-born information communication and technology, ICT, expert, commended Bello and others for gracing the occasion.
“My Father, Sheikh Muhyideen Bello, I’m very happy that you are here in person to give us sermon. Thank you, sir, for all you do for Islam and humanity in general.
“To all our royal fathers, spiritual fathers, guests of honour and esteemed guests, thank you all for honouring Allah. I value this a lot and I will never take you for granted, JazakumLah,” Faozey said.
