Again, the Soun of Ogbomosho, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi has written Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State to announce the rejection of 90 percent of the amount the latter released for the renovation of his Palace.

OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls that the Soun had earlier announced the rejection in a letter only for the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Taiwo Adisa to deny such occurrence.

In the new letter, which was obtained by OYOINSIGHT.COM on Saturday evening, the first class monarch noted that just N10 million is enough to renovate his palace, adding that indigenes of his town have already started contributing their own quota.

He however urged the Governor to divert the remaining N90 million he rejected for the empowerment of youths in the state.

“We appreciate your contribution of a down payment of Ten Million Naira towards the renovation of the Palace.

” Consequently, I would like your Excellency to stay action on the remaining Ninety million Naira. I suggest that the balance should be spent on youth empowerment in my domain.

“As I said during your visit, it is extremely important that we should empower our youths to contribute meaningfully to our development,” the letter read in parts.

OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls that the Palace was vandalized during the crisis in the town following the murder of Jimoh Isiaka allegedly by security personnel.
