Nothing less than 2,000 students were matriculated to the prestigious Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa today,5th August 2021, for 2020/2021 academic session.
Present at the matriculation ceremony which took place at the institution premises were the Ag. Rector, Mr Peter Adejumo; Deputy Rector, Mr Gbade Akinteye, Ag. Registrar Mr. OladeleOladipo, Ag. Bursar, Mr Rauf Bello, Deans of Faculties; Directorsof the Institution Directorates, Head of Departments; Students Union leaders; Members of staf, Parents and guardians of the matriculants.
The Ag. Registrar, Mr. Oladipo who doubled as the Chief Ceremonial Officer of the program, administered the oaths ofallegiance to the fresh students.
While Addressing the matriculating students, the Ag. Rector, Mr.Peter Adejumo admonished them to be law–abiding and shun frivolous attitude. He said:
We are here today as a matter of duty to matriculate newly admitted students into the institution. It is therefore with great pleasure and delight that, I, on behalf of the Management and the Board of Studies, welcome you all to the matriculation ceremony of fresh students of our great institution for the 2020/2021 academic session. On behalf of the Management and Board of Studies, I felicitate the matriculating students, thier parents, and guardians for the foundation of academic pursuit being laid today.
Dress Code:
The Management of the institution has set a standard dress code which is documented and available at the Students Affairs Office. Female students are not allowed to wear skimpy dresses that will expose sensitive parts of thier bodies. The institution also disallows the male students from wearing suggestive dresses that could currupt the system.
Purpose of Being A Student:
You should ask yourself daily: what is my purpose as a student? If you ask yourself this question and try to provide the answer, then you should be able to imbibe the best academic culture and come out in flying colours in your chosen career.
I want to assure you that the management has put in place facilities that will enable you enjoy your sojourn in this Institution.
WARNING:
AOPE is one institution that cherishes building a good name and image. We expect our students to respect its rules and regulations. I want to also point out that our examinations are very sacrosanct and the sanctity of our examinations are paramont to the existence of this institution. Any student who cheats during our examinations will be suspended or expelled, depending on the gravity of their involvement.
While rounding off his address, the Ag. Rector, appreciated His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the Executive Governor Of Oyo State for his unparalleled love for education and special love for Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa. He also thanked the hardworking Governing Council, led by Prof. Samuel Ogundiran for thier unfliching support towards the growth and development of the Institution.
