From Oyo State commissioner for information, culture and tourism, Me Toye Arulogun, came a knock on the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Engr Seyi Makinde over allegation that the state planned to sell the Adeoyo Hospital, RingRoad, Ibadan.
OYO INSIGHT had reported how Makinde alleged that Governor Abiola Ajimobi has in his plans to sell the health facility to his friends.
“It is unfortunate that someone who aspires to sit on the highest seat in Oyo State will continue to exhibit crass ignorance and revel in mundane conjectures and half truth.
“This press statement is a reconfirmation of the pedestrian level Seyi Makinde consistently operates and into which he desires to plunge Oyo State.
“The Government of Oyo State has no such intentions and wishes to state categorically that Seyi Makinde’s statement is false.
“The Oyo State Government has a methodical and holistic approach to health care and Medical services delivery managed by a board of the Oyo State Health Endowment Fund chaired by the very reputable Prof. Olu Akinkugbe.
“Privatising Adeoyo or any other hospital is not a part of the plans of the Abiola Ajimobi led administration,” Arulogun added.
