The House of Representatives has ordered an investigation into the brutal murder of a prominent politician, Fatai Aborode.
Aborode, OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls, was murdered by unknown gunmen on his way back from his farm last week Friday.
While moving the motion for the investigation into the murder, Hon. Muraina Ajibade, who represents Ibarapa Central/ Ibarapa North federal constituency, narrated how the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party was murdered on his way back from his farm.
“The House is concerned that the killing of Dr. Fatai Aborode is one of the numerous of such at this axis has been prone to violent attacks by criminal elements which is obvious in the killing of indigenes and the abandonment of farmlands. It is cognizant that the insecurity in this area is attributed to the absence of security operatives,”Hon. Ajibade said.
After the approval of the motion, the Speaker of the House, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila announced a minute silence to mourn the exit of the late politician.
