Executive chairman of Ogbomoso North local government and son of former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, who is the governorship candidate of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state to dismiss his father’s statement that he is not a member of the party.
OYO INSIGHT recalled how Alao-Akala had, at a governorship debate organized by the British Broadcasting Corporation, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, said that his son only used the APC to contest the chairmanship election.
Olamiju, who spoke while addressing APC members at Osupa ward of Ogbomosho North local government on Monday, said it is important he keeps the trust of the people who voted APC above his father’s wish.
He therefore assured members of the party that he is fully in the party urging them to vote all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
