GSM’s Lip Service, Utter Disregard And Extreme Insincerity To The Industrialization Of Oyo State Plus Omitutun 3.0 Trojan Horse | Mutalubi Ojo SAN

Those who are gullible and others who cannot see or read beyond their noses, can be easily take in or be deceived by the chameleonic propaganda and guerilla style of politics embarked upon by Engineer Seyi Makinde , FNSE, the Governor of Oyo State since he assumed the rulership of Oyo State in a mafia gangsterism on the 29th May, 2019.

GSM understands our people very well and therefore adopted tokenism form of governance to deceive and pull wools over the eyes of our people since the outbreak of his government.

GSM is a super master in the art and science of populism to the extent that Mr. Ayo Fayose , the former Governor of Ekiti State who is the originator of that crude and primitive model of governance in the South-West region of the country must go back to GSM’s School of Street and Tarmac system of administration to learn some rudiments of that haphazard , loose, un-coordinated and trial and error ruling system.

GSM started with Operation Light Up Oyo State , which project he became aware of , for the first time, during the Splash FM organised debate for all the Gubernatorial candidates in Oyo State in 2019. The idea of Operation Light Up , Oyo State was contained and explicitly stated in the blueprint of Oloye Bayo Adelabu, the Gubernatorial candidate of APC.

I do not see anything wrong in anyone or any government adopting and replicating best ideas and projects from others, but same must be done and implemented properly.

However, in a very lame, lazy and idle manner of copying the Operation Light Up Oyo State from Oloye Bayo Adelabu’s blueprint, GSM who never had any blueprint or any Policy or Operational Manual copied the Operation Light Up Project upside down and used Diesel Generators to power up his Street Light project when the Government of Senator Abiola Ajimobi that he suceeded had moved on to power the street lights in Oyo State to an eco-friendly Solar powered generator. One is therefore confused and at loss as to whether GSM’s FNSE is indeed a Fellow that was truly earned or an honourary fellow?

The Light Up project was done at a whopping cost of the sum of N28b, while all the solar street lights done by the Government of the Father of the Modern Oyo State were carted away to unknown destinations by GSM’s cronies and contractors.

We had hoped that GSM sincerely meant well for the development of Sports , especially the game of football in Oyo State when GSM embarked on the massive redevelopment of the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan at a prohibitive cost , only for the stadium to be adjudged as unfit and unsuitable by the NFF and CAF to host any international matches, which resulted in the State’s football team, the 3SC FC being asked to play his international football engagements in Stadium outside Oyo State !!! What a calamitous and catastrophic waste of our State’s resources on a not fit for purpose project.

In an era, when serious minded states are making great forays and exploits in commercial aircrafts like the Gateway Airline of Ogun State, Cally Air of Cross Rivers State, Enugu Air of Enugu State to mention a few, GSM in a very opaque and shady transactions purchased 2 Surveilance aircrafts for Oyo State. Nobody is sure, till date, whether the GSM acquired aircrafts are manned or unmanned ones. Also , none of Special Advisers to GSM on Security , including the one that resigned from GSM’s government last week and the one that he succeeded was aware of the cost or the sellers of the 2 aircrafts and they were not even involved or carried along at all in the cash and carry transaction which purchase receipts are only sighted by the hosts of heaven, but who remain unsighted till date by any mortal!!!

Done talk about the State’s Primary Health Care Centres where about 350 PHCs all over the State were awarded to just 2 Contractors who in turn recklessly and with impunity sub-contracted them to all manners of Sub-Contractors who messed up the jobs and gave Oyo State a shoddily built and mushroom buildings which are sheer waste of the State’s funds.

I can go on and on to expose the inept , inexperienced and corrupt styles of governance by GSM , but I will now confine myself to the one that is the the meat and the crux of this discourse and piece.

Senator Abiola Ajimobi embarked on massive industrialisation of Oyo State by attracting foreign investments into Oyo State and one can readily point to the Karma Milk , Oriental Foods, Agrited and other along the Lagos/ Ibadan Expressway corridors.

In the same vein, approval was sought and obtained from the Federal Government to move the Inland Container Port( Dry Port ) from its original location at Erunmu, Ibadan to Moniya, Ibadan . Lands were acquired by the OYSG under Senator Ajimobi for that purpose , more so since the Lagos/ Ibadan Light rail line presently terminated at Moniya.

It is very sad and unfortunate that GSM’s Government has not , since 2019 , put up a single block or a bucket of sand to allow the Inland Container Port at Moniya to take -off or see the light of the day. Rather , all that GSM and his cronies are interested in are unbridle acquisition of lands and real estates all over the state through some Vodoo Developers whom he latently and convertly operated through .Like Le Tolstoy wrote in his book- How many Land can a Man has?

The worst and the greatest affliction of GSM and his Government on the people of Oyo State and the State itself is the deliberate freeze and halt of the industrialisation of Oyo State by GSM through his selfish, callous and wicked refusal to allow NIPCO and another firm- ENTEC Energy who win the bids to extend the Gas pipeline from the Sagamu Interchange in Ogun State into Oyo State. GSM has flatly refused to allow the laying of the Gas pipes and turbines into Oyo State due to its self interest in asking both successful bidders- NIPCO and ENTEC to accommodate his preferred company – Shell to also partake in laying the pipes and ultimately selling of industrial gas to the factories and industries in Oyo State whe n GSM who used to be a marginal and an unserious operator in the sector knows quite well that Nigeria Gas Company never gave approval to do so to shell who did not even bid to operate in Oyo State . GSM has therefore used his conflicted and selfishness to halt the industrialisation of Oyo State contrary to what obtains in Ogun State where massive industrialisation are ongoing ceaselessly.

Another sad aspect of GSM’s misgovernance is that GSM has on his payrolls and in his pocket, the major media practitioners and some notable pen-pushers and columnists in Oyo State and our country . While those hired writers and mercenaries will write on weekend basis to abuse , condemn, vilify and even peddle lies and falsehoods through their fictions and play with words, idioms, proverbs, folklores, tortoise stories , tales by the moonlights , cock and bull stories and other imaginary anecdotes about the President of the Country , Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu who the love to hate with biles, malice , bellyaches and sadism, they all never for once saw anything wrong at all about the degenerating misgovernance in Oyo State where they reside and carry on their private businesses. Not even the worst state of waste management in Ibadan which presently stinks to the high heavens and the chaotic stinkig nature and disorganisation in Molete and Mokola ever catch their attention , yet they saw those degradation every day on their way from home to their offices and back home in the night.

All Voters in Oyo State are hereby called upon to use their ballot papers to vote away and consign into the waste bin of history the lame duck GSM and all his candidates including his third term ambition of Omititun 3.0 . What we need in Oyo State in 2027 is Omi Idera ( Relief Water) and not the Omititun Inira 1.0 and 2.0 that GSM forced-fed us with while we must say a bold NO to the GSM’s Trojan House packaged Omititun 3.0 through his protege and breastfeeding puppet Gubernatorial candidate , in person of Mr. Bimbo Adekanbi.

Let us vote massively for Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, PH.D for a dawn of new era in Oyo State
