Take Renewed Hope Agenda Gospel To Grassroots, Alli Charges APC Publicists

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has charged party publicists at all levels to intensify efforts to sensitise the public to the achievements of the President Bola Tinubu administration and the prospects of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Alli gave the charge on Wednesday at his campaign office in Mokola, Ibadan, when he received a team of APC spokespersons at the state and local government levels on a solidarity visit. The team was led by the State Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, and Assistant State Publicity Secretary, Matthew Fafunmi.

Speaking on behalf of Alli, the deputy governorship candidate, Hon. Adesoji Adedeji, said Nigerians who were truthful about the country’s situation before the Tinubu administration would appreciate what he described as the President’s efforts to avert looming socio-economic and political challenges.

He said some individuals and sections of the media might choose to downplay the administration’s achievements, but urged APC publicists not to follow that path.

“Now is the time for you to hit the street and sell the gospel of Tinubu’s national rebirth to all and sundry. We are in the campaign period and we should not allow the desperados and unscrupulous elements in society to mislead the populace,” Alli said.

The APC governorship candidate also urged the party’s publicity officers to ensure that information about the administration’s policies and achievements reached residents across the state.

Speaking at the meeting, the Director-General of the BSA Campaign Council, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, disclosed that a comprehensive policy and action document outlining Alli’s plans for Oyo State would soon be unveiled.

Aderibigbe said the document, tagged Oyo AHEAD Pact, would contain the programmes and policies Alli intends to implement if elected governor from May 29, 2027, with the aim of restoring what he described as the lost glory of the Pacesetter State.

He described the APC spokespersons as important party officials responsible for managing and disseminating information among party members and the wider public.

He said the campaign was prepared to work with the APC leadership in the state to strengthen the party’s media and communication structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Aderibigbe also charged local government publicity secretaries to emulate the state publicity secretary by becoming more active at the grassroots, particularly in communicating the party’s programmes, activities and achievements.

He urged them to ensure that relevant information about the APC, its leadership and activities was effectively communicated at the grassroots while projecting what he described as a positive and credible image of the party.
