2027: APC Boosts Campaign Team With Ex-Lawmakers, Former Council Chiefs, Others In Oyo Federal Constituency
To booster its campaign and consolidate on the campaign team set up for the governorship election, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo federal constituency has constituted its committee.
To be led by incumbent senator representing Oyo central, Yunus Akintunde, it has the lawmaker representing Oyo federal constituency and the trike Abiodun Ajeigbe, Hamod Ijadunola and Abiola Oyewole who are the party’s candidates for Oyo East/Oyo West; Atiba and AFIJIO state constituencies in the coming election.
It also has a former speaker of the Oyo state house of assembly who is deputy director-general of the Sharafadeen Alli governorship campaign, Asimiyu Alarape; a former lawmaker, Isiaka Arole and Idris Adeoye who is a member of the elders’ advisory council of the party.
The deputy chairman of the party in the state, Taofeek Lamidi, who made this known during the inaugural meeting of the committee, said members were drawn carefully from the four local governments in the federal constituency.
