A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, Oloye Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke, has officially dumped the party.
He announced his decision in a resignation letter dated March 2, 2026 and addressed to the Ward 10 Chairman of the party in Ibadan South West Local Government Area.
In the letter, he explained that his decision was driven by the intractable political crisis and problems.
“On the back of the intractable political crisis and problems bedeviling the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which are capable of truncating political ambitions of members, I hereby resign my membership of the Party with immediate effect,” the letter read in part.
OYOINSIGHT.COM gathered that the Ibadan-born politician is likely headed to the state chapter of Accord party to pursue his 2027 gubernatorial aspiration.
