The Chairmen of ACCORD across the six South West states of Nigeria and the National Secretary of the party, Dr. Adebukola Ajaja, have cautioned Mr. Clement Bamigbola to desist from parading himself as the party’s governorship flag-bearer.
The ACCORD Chairmen and Dr. Ajaja also described as a charade, kangaroo, and exercise in futility, the purported primary election which produced Mr. Bamigbola.
The ACCORD leaders, including Prince Kolade Ojo, ACCORD State Chairman in Osun State, Pastor Victor Akande, and Dr. Ajaja, affirmed the leadership of the party’s National Chairman, Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem, stressing that Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State remains the authentic and recognized party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming Osun governorship election.
This is contained in a jointly signed statement in Ibadan by the Chairman of Chairmen, who is also the ACCORD State Chairman in Oyo State, Prince Kolade Ojo, and ACCORD State Chairman in Osun State.
Prince Ojo pointed out that it was important to warn Mr. Olusegun Fanibe to remain in his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun State, and stop being a fifth columnist and playing spoiler games within ACCORD, which is poised to govern the state from 2026 to 2030.
Prince Ojo explained that one Mr. Olufemi Ogundare is an impostor, hell-bent on usurping the functions of the party, calling on the public to be wary of dealing with such individuals trying to use ACCORD for their selfish interests.
According to Dr. Ajaja, only bona fide members of the party are qualified to participate in the primary election to choose the party’s flag bearer and other activities.
The ACCORD National Secretary encouraged the bona fide members, supporters, and chieftains of ACCORD in Osun State to be loyal, united, and focused, and not to be distracted by the antics of political jobbers who have nothing in stock other than lies and deceit.
Dr Ajaja commended the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) in Osun state for rejecting illegality and upholding the validly elected governorship candidate of ACCORD.
The ACCORD leader also urged the party faithful to rally support and mobilize the electorate for Governor Ademola Adeleke to emerge victorious in the 2026 Osun governorship election to ensure continuity of good governance.
