The management of TNM media academy has sympathized with Fresh FM and its management led by Yinka Ayefele over the fire outbreak at the station’s headquarters.
TNM, in a statement signed by its head, Abdulrasheed Abdulganeey, described the incident as an unfortunate one.
“The Management, Staff, and Students of TNM Media Academy, Eleyele, Ibadan, led by Alh. Abdulrassaq ABDULGANEEY (Mr. GRA), Provost and CEO, express our profound shock and heartfelt condolences to Fresh 105.9 FM, its esteemed management, and staff—particularly its visionary leader, Dr.Yinka Joel Ayefele (MON)—following the unfortunate fire incident that ravaged the iconic Music House, Challenge, Ibadan, on the night of Friday, 15th August, 2025.
“This devastating occurrence is not just a loss to Fresh FM but to the entire media and entertainment industry in Oyo State and beyond. The Music House stands as a symbol of resilience, creativity, and excellence in broadcasting, and we are deeply saddened by this unfortunate event.
“In this trying moment, we stand in solidarity with Dr. Ayefeleand his dedicated team. We commend the swift response of emergency services and ensure the public to continue listening to Fresh FM 109.5 FM as it bounces back on air stronger than ever before almost immediately after the unfortunate fire incident.
“As a media training institution committed to excellence, TNM Media Academy acknowledges the immense contributions of Fresh 105.9 FM to the growth of broadcasting in Nigeria. We have no doubt that the station has resurrected resoundinglyimmediately after the incident, stronger and more determined to continue its legacy of quality programming and community service.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. May the Almighty grant you the strength, wisdom, and resources to fully overcome this trial and rebuild even greater,” the statement read.
