The Director General of the Nigerian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism, Abisoye Fagade has slammed the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Lagelu local government over his leadership of the party.

Fagade, a chieftain of the party in the state, expressed his dissatisfaction with the chairman’s leadership of the party in the local government in an open letter made available to OYOINSIGHT.COM.

In the letter, he noted that since the 2023 general election in the state, the party has not organized any meeting in Lagelu local government.

“Since the last election, there has been no single meeting, no engagement, and no effort to strengthen or reposition the party at the grassroots.

“This is happening despite having an APC President, Senator, and House of Representatives member at the party structure level. People are beginning to ask serious questions, some are even saying that the silence is deliberate and that perhaps you are planning to let the party die in this local government, despite several calls from my humble self and other people pleading with you to call meetings.

“Chairman, sir, leadership is a responsibility. The future of our party in Lagelu is at stake, and the current silence is not only disappointing but dangerous. If you are no longer interested or able to lead, it’s only fair to step aside.

“APC in Lagelu must not be allowed to collapse. We need a stakeholders’ meeting urgently and general meetings subsequently. You need to also encourage ward meetings to hold regularly and that is the pillar of any party,” the letter read.
