The senatorial primaries of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo South is currently on hold as representatives of the national leadership of the party are currently in a crucial meeting with Sen. Adesoji Akanbi, OYO INSIGHT has scooped.
Outgoing Governor Abiola Ajimobi and Dr Fola Akinosun are scheduled to for the primaries to hold inside the council secretariat of Ibadan North local government, Agodi, Ibadan. Ajimobi represented the area between 2003 and 2007.
Though it cannot be confirmed as at the time of filing this report, Ajimobi might have been prevailed to step down for Akanbi.
Akanbi, who currently represents the district is not happy with the turn of things and he has decided to steer clear of the process.
Akanbi, who, at many times, showed his loyalty to the party believes he should be compensated for the steadfastness.
