Following allegation over neglect of party leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Oyo State by Governor Seyi Makinde, Dr. Saka Balogun, has appealed to the concerned people to embrace peace.
This is just as he cautioned Makinde againsf running the state and party like his personal company.
Balogun, who made this known in a chat with Double A Exclusive Media, disclosed that Makinde has more of campaign experience but not enough government runnings experience.
This, Balogun attributed to lack of Elders Committee within the Oyo PDP.
“I have no problem on all his appointments, he is doing good but he needs to allow more hands in his decision making, particularly the elders of the party need to be carried along the more in his government. Makinde is only using the operational guide of how he runs his business to run the government which is not the best. There is need for Elders Committee,” he said.
In his reaction to Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeniyan’s statement, Balogun expressed satisfaction with his comment but added that he shouldn’t have made it known on the radio.
According to him, Olopoeyan indeed worked for Makinde tirelessly, saying that it is unfair for Makinde not to allow him to be part of his government. “Olopoeyan should have made made his grievance know internally rather than making it public”, he added.
He, however, assured that the issues will be resolved in no time as he and others are working towards peace.
“Olopoeyan needs to be very careful not to dismantle the house he built. He should rather embrace peace and be patient.
He therefore advised Olopoeyan and other PDP leaders not to be bothered with whatever comes out of Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi Auxiliary’s mouth.
Balogun promised to support move to build a better PDP.
