The Oyo state government has disclosed that persons living with disabilities in the state would be entitled to 5 percent slot in the ongoing recruitment exercise for teaching and non teaching staff, and environmental health officers.
OYOINSIGHT.COM recalled that the government had yesterday expressed its readiness to recruit 7,000 and 3,000 teaching and non-teaching staff respectively.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on disability matters, Mr Ayodele Adekanbi, made this known on Wednesday, in an interview with newsmen at the state Secretariat.
The Executive Assistant also instructed persons living with disabilities who are prospective applicants to seek necessary assistance on how to go about the exercise through his office, rather than undergoing the possible rigours of the process.
Adekanbi equally hinted that the administration’s friendly dispositions to persons living with disabilities have continued to yield positive results as the Governor recently included persons living with disabilities into the local government caretaker administration system in line with the policy of inclusion.
