Former Senate Leader Teslim Folarin has paid a courtesy visit to former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, as part of consultations aimed at strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Folarin disclosed the meeting after visiting Adelabu, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, saying their discussions centred on party unity, reconciliation, grassroots mobilisation and efforts to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
He said both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to working with other party chieftains and stakeholders to strengthen the party’s structures, promote reconciliation among members and deepen grassroots engagement across Oyo State’s 33 local government areas.
The meeting comes amid consultations among APC leaders as the party seeks to improve cohesion and coordinate its preparations for the next general elections.
Folarin said his loyalty to Tinubu and commitment to the unity and success of the APC remained firm, stressing the need for cooperation and collective responsibility among party leaders.
He expressed confidence that sustained consultations, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation would help strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 polls.
