According to the All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain, from Ita-Baale Olugbode of Ibadan North East local government, his desire to represent the senatorial district was influenced by genuine intention to make a difference.

Kola-Daisi, who is in-law of the late former governor Abiola Ajimobi, added that the relationships with the Ajimobi’s family is an icing on the cake for his political interest as he has always been interested and involved in politics right from his school days and he believes this is the right time to start

“I have ambitions, one of which is how we can make this our great state of Oyo, a much better place; how we can make our great country – Nigeria, a much better place. And I do understand that politics is only a subset of how people can make a difference in the society. But, unfortunately, our society is not developed to the level where you can say you want to make a difference without being involved in one way or the other in politics”, he said

If elected, Kolapo assured his constituents of quality representation that would launch the promotion of human capacity through quality education and sustainable development,

He added that he will also initiate bills and motions as well as facilitate projects that will enhance  the welfare of his constituents.

The graduate of University of Manchester said further that issues bordering on development, education, empowerment of women and youths would be his major focus as a lawmaker.

“Government represents 75%-80% of whatever happens in this our country, because policy drives everything. One way or the other, we have to get involved in decision making, so that we can make our state and country; a better place.”

While urging the Nigerian youth to brace up and wake up from oblivion so as to harness their population to demand change, he noted that “If 90% of a population is below 50 years, I think it’s about time as a population, we take matters into our own hands. I understand that politics can be dirty, it can be convoluted, and there is a lot to discourage people from it , but we can’t be discouraged; if we really want to make our state and  country a better place. I think there is a lot we can do, there is a lot we can bring to the table, there is a lot we can share from the little experience that we have”, he advocated.

A former council chairman, Lekan Afuye, who is  his campaign director general said, the official declaration will hold in December 2021, maintaining that Kolapo remains the choice of the people because he is young vibrant intelligent and committed to the advancement of humanity

”Prior to his formal declaration, Kolapo has been contributing to the development of the society and very soon he would launch an economic empowerment  program which will include poverty alleviation, skill acquisition, financial support for widow and less privilege.”
