2019: Tinubu’s Former Aide Visits Oyo APC Lawmakers, Party Leaders

One of the governorship aspirants in the 2019 elections in Oyo State, Mr Sunday Dare yesterday met with the All Progressives Congress, APC, Caucus in the Oyo State House of Assembly.

The Ogbomoso-born politician, who is the commissioner in charge of stakeholders’ management at the Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC, was Chief of staff and media adviser to APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Dare also visited the Oke-Ado, Oyo State secretariat of the APC.

At the meeting which took place at the speaker’s Agodi lodge had in attendance majority of the APC legislators.

While receiving and introducing his kinsman, the speaker- Rt. Hon. Olagunju Ojo recalled how other governorship aspirants had made similar visit to them.

He expressed happiness that Dare, a young and upcoming political gladiator, thought it wise to confer with the lawmakers, adding that he was enamored of Dare’s credentials and experience and was glad that the state parades the calibre of Dare who are interested in the politics and development.

Thanking the lawmakers for the audience, Dare saluted their loyalty to the party and extension to their constituents. 

According to the award-winning journalist, the lawmakers were critical to the success of any administration. 

Dare, while reintroducing himself again, spoke about his desire to see the state move forward in all facets. 

He said this was the desire of all and himself particularly, assuring that as a bonafide son of the state, he is set and ready to be in the political forefront and seek to contest for the topmost position. 

Hon. Bolanle Agbaje and the majority leader, Hon. Kehinde Subair spoke highly of Dare, expressing their satisfaction at seeing someone like him stepping into the political terrain actively. 

The lawmakers, however, advised against disappearing after the elections.
