2019: Ex-Oyo LG Boss Mobilizes Over 80 Associations For ADC Victory

As part of its resolve to assiduously work for the victory of all candidates of the African Democratic Congress, ADC  into all the elective posts in the coming general elections, an Oyo socio-political organization, Itesiwaju-Oyo Coalition Movement, in its meeting during the week in Ibadan, has inaugurated a team of volunteered canvassers. 

The commissioned canvassers, according to the coordinator of the group, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun was to contact teeming members of its affiliates in the professional and social groups across the 33 local government areas of the state towards the projection of aspiration of state house, national assembly and gubernatorial candidates of ADC as was used for 2011 and 2015 mobilisation drive for Governor Abiola Ajimobi first and second term elections respectively.

While corroborating the coordinator, Comrade Samson Odewale, the Vice President, National Automobile Technicians Association, NATA said the determination of the coalition was to fanatically involved in  the mobilization of eligible voters across the nooks and crannies of the state to ensure emergence of people-oriented administration and representation after the general elections. 

However, Olatubosun counseled that the strategy should be one on one , door to door sensitization of unsuspecting eligible voters on why the ruling government in the state must not be entrusted with mandates anymore under any guise. 

He therefore implored the state executive officers of affiliates of the group to comb all the local and zonal offices of their members to educate them on why everyone concerned in the project Oyo 2019 must brace up and vote out the deceitful government and its intending successors in candidates into various elective posts. 

In reaction to the series of critical concerns raised by the inquisitive members, Dr. Olatubosun said the proposed government by ADC would be a responsive and responsible which every professional regardless of mode; public and private would be accorded due respects in enjoying dividend of democracy. 

He thereafter informed the congregation of his candidacy for the 9th national assembly to represent Ibadan North West and South West federal constituency. The news which was greeted with a loud applause and acceptance. 

Olatubosun, however appealed to the leadership of the professional, artisans, religious and social bodies in the group to religiously galvanize support by selling candidacy of all standard bearers on the platform of the ADC to their members, families and neighbors in sending park anti masses administration led by Ajimobi. 

The highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of political canvassers team for 2019 general elections. 

Over 80 associations and groups were present at the meeting. Amongst the prominent professional bodies in attendance were National Automobile Technicians Association, NATA, Nigerian Union of Tailor, NUT, Music Association of Nigeria, MAN, Electronics Practitioners Association of Nigeria, EPAN, Ibadan Bricklayers Association, Motor Spare Parts Dealers, Food Vendors, Petty Traders etc
