The Candidates Forum of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Oyo State has described the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the 2019 general elections Senator Olufemi Lanlehin as a man of integrity worthy of emulation.
The forum revealed this in a statement to celebrate the Ibadan-born politician as he clocks 67.
The statement was signed on behalf of all members of the forum by Hon. Akogun Gafar Oyetola, Ibadan North; Hon. Abeeb Balogun, Ibadan South West 2; Hon. Tolani Adigun, Ibadan South West 1; Hon. Diko Salami, Oluyole and Hon. Kunle Adeyemi, Ibadan North East.
“We wish you, our leader, God’s gracious goodness, this year and always.
“We appreciate you Sir for your passion and commitment to the growth of others, and of society, as well as for the selflessness displayed in being a core part of the coalition without which then Candidate Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), wouldn’t today have been governor.
“Such selflessness is rare, particularly in our kind of political climate where trust is lacking, and mutual fidelity to agreements, suspect. Given that the beneficiary of that coalition has played smart, and has elected not to fulfill any of the dots on the agreement, further proves this assertion, albeit sadly.
“However, a man of courage and strong conviction like Lanlehin, remains undaunted in pursuit of pro-people politics, hence not for once regrets the decision to join forces with the coalition partners to rescue Oyo State,”the statement read in part.
They noted that his sterling qualities
stand him out as a lover of humanity
“While wishing you Sir, many more years in good health and prosperity, we pray God Almighty to grant you long life in good health and happiness,” they added.
