In a tribute, Olugbemi, who represented Oluyole federal constituency between 2015 and 2019, said Ajimobi lives on in many people’s hearts, adding that it was painful to have lost him at a time his wealth of experience was needed.

Late Isiak Abiola Ajimobi, Gone but lives in our hearts.

Death is an inevitable end of every soul, hence the need to live for legacies that would outlive one. Such is the demise of our late leader Senator Abiola Ajimobi who died in the course of service to humanity. It was painful to have lost a man of exemplary traits with unequalled leadership qualities at a time when opportunity availed itself for him to further strengthen the ruling party. Late Ajimobi’s demise came at a time his wealth of knowledge was mostly needed but it is good to realize that he has transited to a better place where he has gone to enjoy eternal rest with his Creator. Though every soul shall taste death but it is good for those that left enduring legacies like late Senator Abiola Ajimobi did.

While alive, late Ajimobi was an embodiment of peace, tranquility and unison, the traits that manifest more in the political family he left behind. A year after his painful departure, his political dynasty has become more formidable and even waxing stronger by the day owing to relentless efforts of the political matriarch Dr Mrs Florence Ajimobi who through her selflessness, humility and generosity has become a unifying factor in the political family.

Though no longer with us, but late Abiola Ajimobi lives in our hearts as his numerous accomplishments still benefits millions of people daily. Rather than mourn, the enduring legacies Late Ajimobi left behind justifies the celebration of a life very well spent.

While I identify with Ajimobi Dynasty of Ibadanland and late Isiak Abiola Ajimobi’s political family on his first year memorial, I pray that my departed leader continues to enjoy eternal rest with his creator.

Hon. Samson Olusunbo Olugbemi,

Member, House of Representatives,

Oluyole federal constituency (2015-2019).
