Jimoh Adisa Olabisi, All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Oorelope state constituency, has revealed why he wants to represent his people.

In a chat with OYOINSIGHT.COM, JAO as he is fondly called, explained that “as a young boy, my pulsating dream was to be a tool for the transformation of my community And even the world at large. I didn’t know how that would be achieved or whether it would be as fast and quick as it is now. But I trust in God and believe the time has come. I knew dream has it price, part of which is, it would be hard. But I strongly believe in the power of dream and the possibility it has in stock. I believe nothing worthwhile in life comes easily including dreams. And that nothing great is achieved without the incremental and exponential power of dream, imagination and inspiration.”

On his academic pursuit, he revealed that “I started my primary education in 1999 Muslim Nursery and primary school is now United Muslim Academy in Igboho. And my secondary school was at Muslim High School Igboho— after my junior secondary school there I relocated to Lagos state and attended Odogunyan Grammar School between 2007-2010. I later proceeded for higher education at Tai Solarin University of Education between 2014-18 and the MBA program at University Canada West, Vancouver.”

He continued: “I have been into politics right from the beginning of this century; my late father was a political leader and I had the opportunity to learn lot about leadership skills from him.

“I have seen people of many characters and skills been denied access to serve and that has brought our community under development. I have seen many out-of-school children who inspired me to build on the JAO foundation that will serve in the interest of the people. And that’s why I believe this community, this state, and this country have the potential and can reach for the peak in all human development index if we have more dreamers who can dream it, and then live it.

“Through my foundation JAO, I was able to give out 10 fully funded scholarship to secondary school and since the start of my political campaigns in 2020, I have contributed to both Human Resources and community development. I renovated the public abattoir with over one million naira. I  organized an oral debate where the first runner up got a brand new laptop, second got an iPad and third position went home with mobile phone just in support to their Education. Also we shared writing and learning material like books, chalkboards to all schools in Oorelope, sponsored more than 30 students in the just concluded JAMB examination and lots more.

“Like I said in my previous interviews, I’ve done all my assignment well to prove to the people of my constituency that we are coming to serve in their own interest and that will help my party in the coming election. I’m thankful to God, party leaders and members of our great party for giving me the chance to fly the flag.”
