A group of leaders and indigenes from the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State under the auspices of Oke-Ogun Centrepiece Alliance have said they are not oblivious of what they described as ongoing trials of Engineer Rauf Olanian in relations to his office as the Deputy Governor of the state.

The group while commending Olaniyan for the “stoic manner” in which he is taking the challenges prayed that the Almighty God be sufficient for him as Guide and Guard.

The group spoke in a felicitation and goodwill letter presented to the Oyo Deputy Governor at his Igboho private residence when the Coordinator of the group, Professor Yisa Kehinde Yusuf, led other leaders to pay him a solidarity and courtesy visit to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir festivities.

The group expresses optimism that the Oyo Deputy Governor still has a lot to contribute to the development of Oke-Ogun region of the state, and the state as whole, praying Allah to continue to strengthen him and ease his tasks.

The letter reads in part “On behalf of the Oke-Ogun Centrepiece Alliance, I wish to felicitate with you on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir. Eid-el-Kabir is a celebration of the faithfulness and steadfastness of Prophet Ibraheem (AS). It is also the celebration of Allah’s reward of these virtues with divine mercy.

“As we revel in commemoration of this absolute submission to the will of Allah and the concomitant divine favour, we are not oblivious of the trials you are going through at this moment in relation to your office as Deputy Governor of Oyo State.

“We note the stoic manner in which you have taken the challenge, and pray that Almighty God be sufficient for you as Guide and Guard.

“We are assured that there is still a lot that you can contribute to the development of our dear Oke-Ogun region of the State, and pray that Allah continue to strengthen you and ease your tasks for you.

“Your Excellency, do extend our best wishes to your esteemed family.”
