Less than 24 hours to the presidential and national assembly election, gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said that his office has been inundated with allegations that illegal and unauthorised voting has started at the government house agodi, Ibadan.
In a press statement signed by his campaign organisation spokesman, Prince Dotun Oyelade, “discreet clandestine voting went on through the night at the government house and some other designated places.”
He called on Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to investigate and identify its staff that are colluding with the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the criminal act.
Makinde asked the people to be extra vigilant as the ruling party is desperate to upturn the will of the people.
He alleged that APC government in the state have concluded plans to export people from neighboring states to vote in Okeogun part of the state.
He also alleged chartered and Ajumose buses have departed Ibadan to bring aliens to Kajola, Iwajowa and Iseyin local government areas to turn in huge but illegal votes.
He however asked the people not to resort to violence but report any suspicious movements to the authority.
He emphasised the need for peace during the election and assure the populace that no manipulation will succeed because the masses have made up their minds.
