For the first time in a long while, the city of Ibadan experienced flood in major areas in the after a rainfall that lasted for over three hours on Tuesday.
The rain which started some minutes after three O’clock wreaked havoc in some areas in the capital city.
Videos from eyewitnesses showed that in areas like Olodo and Old Ife Road, the flood had taken over roads and houses.
“I am here in front of Old Ife road… the flood has covered all vehicles , the flood has made a wreck of the entire city. These are cars and you can see by proxy down there. I am recording this video for a state record, “an eyewitness said in one of the videos.
The eyewitness, who stated that the experience is “not good” , urged Governor Seyi Makinde to intervene in the issue.
In another video footage of havoc wrecked by the flood at Olodo area of the city, an eyewitness, who talked hastily, called for the immediate intervention of the authorities because the flood had “taken over a house located after the Olodo bridge enroute Iwo road” noting that there are people inside the house at the moment of recording the video.
