Two people reportedly died and six were injured in an accident on the Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Oyo State today, OYOINSIGHT.COM can report.
The accident, details of which remain sketchy, reportedly involved students who were on their way to sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination in Ogbomosho, according to multiple eyewitnesses.
This newspaper gathered that the accident reportedly occurred when the commercial vehicle conveying the students to a JAMB centre in Ogbomoso had a brake failure.
“Fatal accident claimed the life of the students that were going to write JAMB in OGBOMOSO on OYO road, Oyo State,” an eyewitness who shared a video of the accident wrote.
At the time of writing this report, the Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Adewale Osifeso is yet to confirm the report.
