A 2023 House of Assembly aspirant in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North state constituency, Tokunbo Toriola, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Asiwaju of Igboora, Chief Amos Ademola Adepoju.
The industrialist, accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Folake Toriola, visited the American Quarter-Yidi Gate, Ibadan residence of the late Asiwaju of Igboora on Friday, where they met and commiserated with the bereaved family, including Mrs. Elfrida Adepoju, wife of the late chief and scholar.
In his tribute, Toriola remarked that Chief Amos lived an exemplary life and nurtured all his children in the way of the Lord and in education too. According to him, the late Asiwaju of Igboora was a lover of his community, Igboora and indeed Ibarapa in general, a lifestyle the agribusiness guru described as uncommon and one that will forever be remembered.
He said Chief Adepoju was a personification of the power of good education and its impact on any society, saying Ibarapa benefited from his quest for education, which culminated in his enviable accomplishments in every area of life.
The former President of Rotary club of Ilesha said Pa Adepoju demonstrated that one can actually achieve greater things from a small place, adding that being a Rector, General Manager of the Agriculture Credit Corporation of Oyo State, full-time Commissioner at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Immigration, Prisons and Civil Defence Board, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner and National Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were no mean feats, describing the late scholar as a man who had seen it all before his passing.
