Adedapo Lam-Adesina, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, has congratulated Bola Tinubu on his emergence as presidential candidate of the party.
The former commissioner, who was in the house of representatives between 2015 and 2019, said his father would be happy in his grave with Tinubu’s success.
Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor, won the party’s nomination after defeating other aspirants at the party’s special national convention in Abuja on Wednesday.
In a statement on Thursday, he noted that Tinubu’s emergence as the party’s candidate is coming at a time Nigeria needs him more.
“Asiwaju Tinubu’s emergence as our party’s flag bearer does not come as a surprise to many of us who are his political sons.
“The wealth of knowledge he accumulated as the architect behind the transition of Lagos into Africa’s largest economic hub gives him the required experience to lead Nigeria at this trying times.”
He explained further that the democratic ideals that Asiwaju stands for are also necessary for a united Nigeria.
“Congratulations once again, our dear Asiwaju. Be rest assured that we would put in the work to deliver your victory at the polls,” he added.
