Stop Apologising On Ajimobi’s Behalf — Makinde Advises Adelabu

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, gubernatorial candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde has advised his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress, APC, to stop apologising to the people of Oyo state on behalf of outgoing Governor Abiola Ajimobi. 

Reacting to a radio interview granted by Adelabu last night, Makinde in a release from his campaign organisation and signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, said a thousand apologies cannot make up for the sufferings of nearly 8 years saying that the apologies should be directed at God and not mankind.

Makinde also said that Adelabu is contradicting himself by apologizing for the legacy which he has sworn to continue.

In another story, another independent poll has tipped Makinde to win the governorship election in the state. This is coming sixty days before the gubernatorial election.

According to Oyelade, the latest poll was conducted by Silverstone, the organizers of the annual Miss Oyo and Merit Award Ceremony which announced the results for the five leading gubernatorial candidates in the state.

In the online poll which spread across the state and involving all cadres of the society, Makinde of the PDP scored 998 votes, followed by Sarafadeen Alli of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, who polled 585, Adelabu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, 541, Femi Lanlehin of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, 519 and Alao Akala of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, 249.

The result meant that 36% of the total voters preferred to have Engr Makinde as the next governor.

The award was received on behalf of the PDP candidate by Former Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly and Deputy Director General of Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Rt Hon Kehinde Ayoola, who observed that every legitimate indices suggested a clear victory for Makinde on March 2, 2019.
