Omoyele Sowore, candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the 2023 presidential election, has said that ‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, is more of noise than performance.
The activist turned politician made this known on a 32 FM political programme, anchored by Captain P2, this week.
According to the Sahara Reporters publisher, when he set out to come to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, he never envisaged that the roads were that bad.
“If I talk, people would say it is too early. Ibadan is central to southwest. I thought Ibadan should have passed this stage, with meaningful development. I was embarrassed. It is like the development they mouth is on signboard and not what we thought was happening; not what they posted on social media. A journey we should ordinarily use 20 minutes for, we ended up using over an hour. Someone coming from Lagos will get to your station before someone coming from Alakia airport.
“Your governor makes mouth than action. I had been hearing Makinde this, Makinde that. But with what I have seen today, it is obvious he is more of a noise than performance,” he added.
