Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan) has reiterated his commitment to the progressive fold, insisting he remains a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), contrary to rumours and insinuations flying around.
Lanlehin, while meeting leaders of his group drawn from the 33 Local Government Areas of the state in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, maintained that despite the teething crisis the party is currently embroiled in, which was not unexpected given the struggle for tickets by contestants, added that his political trajectory, heritage and philosophy demands he remains a member of the progressive fold, believing that with time, all flaring tempers would be calmed, and the needed peace returns to the party.
“I am a progressive through and through, and my politics of welfarism is in tandem with progressivism, hence my decision, taken as a consensus of opinions of my people here, is to remain in the APC,” Lanlehin said.
Lanlehin, who represented Oyo South Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015 added that as a loyal party man, he was ready to commit to the advancement of his party, especially its success in the coming polls, urging his followers around the state to put in their best to see the party succeeds, locally and nationally.
Senator Lanlehin, in a personally signed statement, consequently admonished all aggrieved members of the party to sheathe their swords and close ranks to ensure the party becomes united for the decisive political journey ahead.
Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), therefore, wishes everyone the best of times and Nigeria, peace, progress and prosperity in her march through 2023.
